New Voices in Classics Lecture
The annual New Voices in Classics Lecture aims to expand the boundaries of the discipline by amplifying both the voices of up-and-coming scholars in the field of Classics and ancient voices that are less often heard (including women, enslaved and colonized peoples, the socially or economically disadvantaged). The inaugural lecture was given on February 11, 2022 by Mathura Umachandran of Cornell University.

Arts and Science Lecture in Classics
The Arts and Science Lecture in Classics invites prominent classicists, as well as leaders in the creative arts and public life who have derived inspiration from ancient Greece and Rome, to speak about their thought and work. The lecture series aims to promote the study of Greco-Roman antiquity by showcasing exciting and innovative work within the field and by demonstrating its continued relevance for thinking through issues of contemporary concern. The inaugural lecture was given on April 25, 2025 by Prof. Emily Greenwood.
