We are delighted to learn that Don McCarthy has won this year’s CI Teaching Excellence Award – the second year that this prestigious award, open to graduate teachers across the whole University, has been won by a Classics Department student. (In 2024 it went to went to Kat Furtado.) The award recognises Don’s extensive experience teaching Latin at all levels and his innovative, student-centred pedagogy.
